A block watch program, also known as a neighborhood watch, apartment watch, home watch, or community watch, is a crime prevention program that involves citizens working together to detect crime and make their communities safer. In a block watch program, citizens are responsible for watching for suspicious activities and reporting them to the police. The program can also include citizens forming a communication network to report activities to each other.
